Sausage Race

This weekend my buddy Ryan and I flew out to Phoenix to catch the sausage race. If you aren't familiar, the sausage race draws thousands of spectators every spring. The sausages' regular season home is at Miller Park in Milwaukee, but every spring they head out to the desert for training. Ryan and I were lucky enough to catch them this year. Oh yeah... we also got to see my family and caught some baseball ;)

The LA Marathon


Our street was part of the route for the LA Marathon this weekend. We got to see the frontrunners come through. They were flying... I can't imagine going that fast for 26 miles. They ran from Dodger Stadium to the Santa Monica Pier. Here are some of my favorite pics:

The handicapped racers came through first, and since we live on a hill, they were going about 50 miles an hour.

Then the lead pack came through. You can see the tv announcers sticking out of the sunfroof of the lead car.
